Happy Election Day- and ONE MONTH DOWN!!

I'm an hour early, but I don't feel like waiting up an hour to post this and I won't have time tomorrow!!

Couple pictures Christian sent along with this:

All is well here. The weather is cooling off nicely, though I'm not a fan of the rain. It turns the fine dust into a sticky goo.

I am attaching a picture taken at the US Embassy, Baghdad, a little over a week ago. They have nice pool. Perhaps if it were not for the drive in a heavily armored vehicle, it might be fun to use it.

The top picture I think is from the ride into Baghdad when they first got there. The brightly colored critter with Christian is Funky Monkey the 2nd. Funky Monkey the 1st resides in Trevor's bed with him. We have taken Monkey the 2nd (or M2) with us on trips we have taken without Trevor or when Christian has had to travel for work. I have enough pictures for an entire photo album of M2's travels. We are wondering if Trevor might ask us one day why M2 got to go to Singapore, Malaysia, cruising the Caribbean, so many military bases I can't name them all, and he didn't!!

ONE MONTH DOWN!! Yeah!! Trevor is adjusting to the changes much better now, he is pretty matter of fact when he tells people that his Daddy has to work in a place that is far away and he can't come home right now. We continue our construction project in the backyard- we got grass today!! It is finally starting to come together. When Christian comes home I am going to have a HUGE party :)

Hopefully most of you were smarter than me and voted early- I will be waiting in line tomorrow morning with everyone else in the world, but given so many people are risking their lives so we can exercise the right to vote, I guess I can wait in a little line for awhile!!

Christian is going to start adding posts to the blog soon. He has finally gotten all of his shipments of stuff in and been able to get everything set up. For now we still haven't had much success with Skype, but they have been promised a faster connection in the next month so hopefully then we will be able to see each other again. The few times we have been successful have been really good for Trevor- and Christian & I!!

I am still trying to get pictures from Halloween of Trevor as Daddy. He loves telling people he was Daddy for Halloween!!
