What Christian will be doing

Many people have asked what Christian will be doing while he is in Iraq. He is part of what the military calls a red team. They have spent the last three months learning about the Iraqi culture, all different types of military philosophy dating back to 500- let me tell you the Chinese military philosophy in 500 was a difficult read!! They learned the basics of Arabic and about the different religions in the world today. Their job is to understand what impacts their plans will have on not only our military forces but the Iraqi people. They are there to challenge group think- not to just nod their heads when they come up with a plan, but to challenge it. I think the best analogy I have heard is that they are there to tell the Emperor (Our military leaders) he has no clothes!! I'm working on adding some more pictures from the past week before he left but I'm having difficulties with Picasa, so stay tuned and I hope to get them posted in the next few days!! Thank you to everyone for the supportive e-mails, we are just concentrating on plans for when he comes home and my job right now is to keep Trevor in as normal, routine environment as I can. Of course we are planning to head to Houston this weekend to see my nephew Cameron play football with the Katy Tigers, but that should be fun for him!!
