Critter updates

Okay, there was the tarantula when Christian left, scorpions here and there (I'm used to those now), I hoped I was done with the Wild World of Critters last week after the centipede in the house (which I killed thank you very much), but no, that couldn't be enough...

So I had five kids 3 and 4 years old over this morning- playing in our backyard. Played in Trevor's little pool, we hung out on the patio and talked, life was good. I've been draining the pool this afternoon and went out to flip it over to finish draining and as I am stepping into the grass (in my bare feet mind you), I encounter a snake!!!!! Not the little six inch variety, no, that would be too normal for this house. The two foot variety!!!!! I've been told he isn't poisonous, but do I really want to go walking through my thick overgrown grass now?? Do I want to let my child go play out there- he was almost as long as Trevor!!

Yard service is getting a call today and we are going to a weekly service, we were bi-weekly, but it is too tall already and is has just been a week. So exactly how do I kill a two foot long snake?????
