Little Minds

Okay, the title might be a little misleading...

Today Trevor declared he did no want to be a Daddy. When I asked him why not he replied because I don't want to have to go away. Try explaining that one to a three year old!! He has handled things so well, I forgot sometimes how much this is for his little brain to process. He now associates being a Daddy means you have to go away for a long time!! We spent some time with a globe today also with Mommy trying to explain why Daddy has to go away and where he is- again - try explaining that to a three year old- or a grown up for that matter!!

On to a lighter note- WHY exactly do I have to live in a area with all the creepy crawlies??? First it was the scorpions- I learned to deal with those- killed more than my fair share of those. Then came the HUGE eight inch centipede in the garage. Christian was still here for that, but his solution was to throw it in the street, so I still had to go scoop it up and throw it in the trash. Next came the Tarantula- okay- I wussed out on that one and got the landscaper to come kill it for me. Today come the smaller version of the centipede- but in the house. I killed it, with only a small amount of screaming when I missed the first try and it turned on me!! Those things can move!! I'm trying to be the good environmentalist and not use chemicals on the yard, but you know, a person has to draw the line somewhere! I think I may have reached my breaking point. On top of that both Trevor & I have been stung by ants this week. Sting me, but don't you sting my baby!!! I think it is time for death to visit the critters in the yard!!
