Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends. We are blessed to have so many people helping us and keeping us in their thoughts and prayers. For that we are truly grateful. While I wish that I could join you all for Thanksgiving, sharing this great American holiday with my military family is not a bad alternative. The dining facilities are going all out. I will send a report after I emerge from my turkey induced coma. Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday.
P.S. In case anyone was wondering, yes, I will be getting up at 4:00 a.m. to watch the Texas vs. a&m game. Hook’em.

Happy Thanksgiving, Christian! We are thankful for you and all of the servicemen and women with you, and we are glad to hear the US Army has provided a bountiful spread. We are up to our ears here in preschool books about Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, and Peanuts historical Thanksgiving video. Lots of questions about Pilgrims, the Mayflower, and Squanto...Good times reflecting on our country's origins--we are thankful for you service to our country in 2008! Ann & Doug
Dear God:
Thank you, especially today, for our friends Sharon, Christian and Trevor. Thank you for their commitment to you, to each other, to our country and to those things we call peace and freedom. Watch over them, especially today. Keep them safe. Lift their spirits and guard their health. Wrap them in the light of your love and hold them close in your hands so that they know just how much they are loved...by us...and most of all, by you! Amen.
Dear Christian...
Happy Thanksgiving! Know, especially today, that you are much loved and appreciated!
Now...about that ballgame...I bet you are going to find lots of great Aggies over there who would be more than willing to let you watch the game with them! The game might not be very exciting, but keep your eyes on the band at halftime! Yep...we're Aggies in this house, but I'm hoping we can still be friends! Gig 'em! :)
God's peace,

Christian,
I write to thank you for your service to our country on this Thanksgiving Day. I hope that you will have a quiet, even peaceful?, day and that you can enjoy a rich feast with others.
I am so grateful that you and Sharon and Trevor chose St. Matthew's. I am always pleased to see them, and I hope that you know we are always praying for you and others who serve with you.
When you arise early for the game, you can look for me. 10 yd line, 8 rows from the field on the east side, south end zone. I hope we can improve our play against the Ags! We need the win - then we begin rooting for Auburn, Florida State, Oklahoma State and Baylor in earnest!
God bless you, Christian and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
